Business Intelligence (BI)

Business intelligence, often shortened to just BI, is the function of using business data to make organizational decisions and improve business processes. Typically, that involves one or more data tools used to produce analytics, visualizations, and insights. BI is often concerned with ensuring an organization is collecting the right kinds of business data, and that those data are clean and reliable. Data are then used to inform business decisions, such as changes to sales or organization processes, and keep leaders informed of changes to the market, customers, or other important updates.
