Bookbuilder

Territories. Always on.

Bookbuilder is a native Salesforce package that manages dynamic account books, automatically assigning and refreshing accounts for each rep based on fit, timing and capacity.

01Overview

Better books. More pipeline. Less effort.

Static account lists decay. Reps hold the accounts they like, new hires inherit the leftovers, and RevOps spends the year making manual adjustments that are out of date by the time they land.

Bookbuilder automates the cycle: fill each rep’s book to capacity with the highest-fit accounts, retrieve what is not being worked, and repeat.

02Capabilities

What Bookbuilder does

Live Territory Definitions

Target Books define a territory as a set of rules rather than a fixed list of accounts. The definition stays stable while the accounts inside it change, which is what makes a territory survive contact with a moving market.

Automated Account Assignment

Distribute and retrieve accounts with precision. Each rep's book fills to their capacity with the highest-fit accounts available, and accounts nobody is working go back into the pool instead of sitting idle in someone's name.

Powerful Feedback Loops

Reps tag and return accounts as they engage. That feedback feeds the next distribution, so the system gets better at matching accounts to reps the longer it runs.

Salesforce-Native

Reps work great accounts without learning another tool. Bookbuilder runs inside Salesforce as a managed package, so assignment, ownership and history all live where your team already works.

03Who it’s for

Built for the whole revenue team

RevOps

Stop fielding one-off reassignment requests. Capacity and fit rules do the work, and every ownership change is recorded.

Sales leaders

Every rep has a full book of accounts worth working, including new hires who used to inherit whatever was left over.

Reps

A focused book instead of a thousand-account list, refreshed as you work it. Spend your time selling, not sorting.

What customers say

Each AE shouldn’t have more than 100 accounts in their name. More than that takes away our ability to work them.

This has been my favorite transformational system change for our business. You’re never going to get it right the first time.

With dynamic books, we can quickly react to what’s going on in the market and refocus our energy on industries where deals are still moving.

06Questions

Bookbuilder FAQs

What is a dynamic book?

A small, focused set of high-potential accounts assigned to a rep up to their capacity, refreshed automatically as they work it. Instead of owning a fixed list for a year, a rep always holds the best available accounts they can realistically cover.

How many accounts should a rep have?

Most teams land between 100 and 250. The exact number depends on motion and segment, but the principle holds: a rep who owns more accounts than they can work is not covering them, they are sitting on them.

What happens to accounts a rep is not working?

They are retrieved and returned to the pool so another rep can pick them up. That is the mechanism that prevents account hoarding, and it is the reason dynamic books produce more opportunities than static territories.

Does this require Salesforce?

Yes. Bookbuilder is a native Salesforce managed package. Market Map, Carve and AI Researcher work with Salesforce, HubSpot or a CSV, but dynamic book management is Salesforce-only today.

Can I run it from an AI agent?

Yes — book management, distributions and rep metrics are all exposed through the Gradient Works MCP.
